Girls in Chicago: A Movie

Set in 1914 Chicago, three sisters are determined to make their mark in the city's budding movie industry. However, they are soon faced with betrayal and danger. When Rae Kelly steals a wallet, she discovers a cryptic list of numbers inside instead of any money. Lukas Krantz, a local mobster, purchases the wallet and the mysterious paper, ultimately providing an opportunity for Rae and her sisters to enter RidgeW Pictures. The studio, run by the ambitious Matt Ridgewood, is in a constant battle to stay competitive.

Rae, the pragmatic sister, falsely claims to be younger than she is in order to portray a child explorer on screen. Lily, the stunning sister, takes on roles as a virtuous heroine in western films while also envisioning marrying into high society. Delia, the impulsive sister, leaves her husband, a farmer, and begins disrobing for film shoots.

Throughout their tumultuous journey, the sisters remain loyal to each other despite their differing aspirations. They grapple with misplaced desires, deceit, the looming threat of World War I, and even murder as they navigate the treacherous waters of the early film industry.
